Dear all
First the bad news: I'm afraid there will be no
Practica on Wednesday 30 April. Now the good: On 7 May, we
will be having dinner at Casablanca. If you'd like to join us, see the
post below and contact Linda to book:
hodson.linda2@gmail.com. Our Practicas in Penparcau will be back on 14
and 21 May, and there is a milonga at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff on
Saturday 10 May 7.30-midnight (http://www.tangoincardiff.com/events.htm), a tea dance in Swansea on Sunday 11 May
4-8pm (http://www.tangoessence.co.uk/events/) and a class on campus with
Paul planned for 17 May--so plenty to look forward to before the
summer!!
Best wishes

Dinner at Casablanca followed by Tango - 7th May
Dear all,
Instead of the usual practica at the Quaker Hall on Wednesday 7th
May, there is the opportunity of booking a meal at Casablanca,
Aberystwyth with members of Aberystwyth Tango group. We have permission
from the owner to dance after dinner at Casablanca
providing the restaurant is not too full. If it is not convenient to
dance at Casablanca we will go back to the Quaker hall later in the
evening to tango. Ladies please bring a partner if you can as they are
in short supply!
Casablanca serves Turkish food and you can bring your own bottle. If you wish to reserve places, please contact Linda Hodson: hodson.linda2@gmail.com by
Saturday 3rd May at the latest.
Please note that the Quaker Hall will not be opening for a general
practica on 7th May. Members may be returning there late in the evening
to continue dancing, but this cannot be guaranteed.
The next practica at Penparcau is tomorrow, 23rd April in the
Quaker hall as usual. We look forward to seeing you there and hope you
will email Linda to arrange a table at Casablanca for dinner and a
Tango.
Best wishes
Jenny

Tango on Wednesdays!!
Hi everyone
We have our usual Practica in Penparcau at 8pm - 11pm on Wednesday this week and every week (unless we have to cancel, in which case I will email round). Practica is tangoese for 'practice', so no class or lessons but plenty of opportunity to practice and just to dance. Bring a partner if possible, but if not, come along anyway. No need to dress up, but slippy shoes are a good idea as always. If you have just begun lessons, this is an ideal opportunity to try out what you've learned, and to watch more experienced dancers. Everyone welcome!
